Short answer
Yes, to start. Free gets 10 credits, once per email address, with no card, and 12 video models make a video for 10 credits or less: Seedance 1.5 Pro makes one for 2 credits (5 s at 480p without sound). The same credits also make images, voiceovers and music.
What 10 free credits make
Each video model's cheapest setting at the length the studio starts from, if it fits in 10 credits. Shorter, smaller or silent videos cost less; each model's page has every setting.

How the free credits work
You get 10 credits once per email address, not every month. There's no refill.
Pick a model, write what you want to see, and the price shows before you press Create. That price is exactly what's used.
A failed, blank, refused or blocked video costs nothing: if nothing is made, nothing is used.
The same credits make images, voiceovers and music too, on models like ElevenLabs v3, Sarvam Bulbul v3 and Lyria 3.5.
Every prompt is checked before anything is made, and every video is checked again before you see it.
When the free credits are used up
A credit pack is $10 for 200 credits, valid for 12 months, and pays only for creating, never for messages. You can buy one on Free, with no plan. That's up to 100 Seedance 1.5 Pro videos at 5 s at 480p without sound, the cheapest above.
Or Pro is $20 a month, and creating comes out of the same monthly allowance as its messages: 250 credits' worth, where one credit is one Claude Haiku 4.5 message. That's up to 125 Seedance 1.5 Pro videos at 5 s at 480p without sound, if it all goes to video. Every video model has its price on its page.
Every limit is published. Paid plans also have a monthly fair-use limit on AI cost: Pro $7.50, Max $20, Ultra $42, Studio $85. Using every message on your plan at typical sizes stays under it; very large messages and heavy research use it faster. Every limit, explained.
