What an AI video really costs: credits to dollars, model by model

A credit is about 5¢ at the credit pack price ($10 for 200 credits), and 8¢ on Pro if the whole month goes to video. So at starting settings a video runs from 7 credits (about 35¢) on Hailuo 02 Standard to 57 credits (about $2.85) on Veo 3.1. Length, size and sound move the price.

What a credit is worth

Every video in llmwise is priced in credits, and you see the price before you press Create. A credit is one Claude Haiku 4.5 message from your monthly allowance, so a plan's credits pay for the bigger chat models and for creating alike. Beside every price, llmwise shows what it is in money: 1 credit is about 5¢ (the credit pack price: $10 for 200 credits). Divide a plan's price by its credits and you get what a credit costs on that plan if the whole month goes to video.

What one credit costs on each plan and pack
Plan or packPriceCreditsOne credit, if all go to video
Plus$10125, a month8¢
Pro$20250, a month8¢
Max$50800, a month6¢
Ultra$1001,800, a month6¢
Studio$2004,000, a month5¢
Top-up or credit pack$10200, once, valid 12 months5¢

Free gets 10 credits, once per email address. On a paid plan the everyday chat models have a count of their own (60 messages a day on Pro), so everyday chat never touches the credits.

What moves a video's price

Three settings can move the price: how long the clip is, how sharp it is, and whether it has sound. Each model's page lists the price of every setting it offers.

The widest range is Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite's: from 1 credit for 1 s at 480p to 67 credits for 10 s at 1080p (about 5¢ to $3.35). A short, small, silent draft first, and the full setting once the prompt works, keeps the cost down.

What you pay, and when

  • The Create button shows the price for your exact settings before anything is made. That price is exactly what's used.

  • A failed, blank, refused or blocked creation costs nothing.

  • At starting settings, a clip runs from 7 credits (Hailuo 02 Standard) to 57 credits (Veo 3.1).

  • Free's 10 credits cover a short clip on the cheaper models: the free video generator page lists which.

To pick between the most asked-about models, see Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 and Wan side by side.

Video prices in credits and dollars: questions

How much is one credit in dollars?

1 credit is about 5¢ (the credit pack price: $10 for 200 credits), and that's the money llmwise shows beside every price. On Pro ($20 for 250 credits a month), a credit comes to 8¢ if the whole month goes to creating; the bigger plans sit in between. Prices are always charged in credits.

Do I pay for a video that fails?

No. A failed, blank, refused or blocked creation costs nothing: if nothing is made, nothing is used.

Do credits expire?

A plan's credits renew each billing period, and unused ones don't carry over. A top-up or a credit pack lasts 12 months.

What's the cheapest AI video model here?

At the studio's starting settings, Hailuo 02 Standard: 6 s at 768p for 7 credits (about 35¢). Shorter or smaller settings on other models can cost less; each model's page lists every setting.

See the price before the video

Every model's price shows before you press Create, for your exact length, size and sound. Free has 10 credits, once, enough for a short clip on the cheaper models.
