Short answer
Anthropic shows people in India its prices in US dollars: Claude Pro is $20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly ($200 up front), and Max starts at $100. Its pricing page says the prices don't include applicable tax. On the web it takes only cards; in the Android app, Google Play handles payment, and Play accepts UPI.

How much is Claude Pro in India?
$20 a month billed monthly, or $17 a month billed yearly ($200 up front), in US dollars (checked September 28, 2026): Anthropic shows no rupee price. Its pricing page says tax isn't included, so it's added at checkout.
Can I pay for Claude with UPI?
Not on the web: Anthropic accepts only cards there. If you subscribe in the Claude app for Android, Google Play handles the payment, and Google's Play help says Play takes UPI for subscriptions.
Is there a student discount on Claude in India?
No. Anthropic's help center says it doesn't offer standard discounted pricing for its paid plans, Pro included; it runs limited-time promotions now and then.
Does Claude have an India offer?
We found none on Anthropic's pages (checked September 28, 2026): no telecom offer like Jio's with Google, and no free months like ChatGPT Go's ended one. Claude's free plan is $0.
