Short answer
Claude has three plans: Free, Pro at $20 a month ($17 billed yearly) and Max at $100 or $200. Anthropic publishes no message count on any, and Fable 5.1 costs extra on Pro. Through the API, a typical Claude Opus 5.5 message costs $0.0300 and a Fable 5.1 one $0.0750.

How much is Claude a month?
Pro is $20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly; Max is $100 (Max 5x) or $200 (Max 20x), monthly only (checked September 28, 2026). Prices exclude tax.
What does the Claude API cost?
Per million tokens in and out: Fable 5.1 $10.00 and $50.00, Opus 5.5 $4.00 and $20.00, Sonnet 5 $2.00 and $10.00. Anthropic's pricing page says batch processing saves 50%.
Which Claude plan includes Fable?
Not on Pro: since July 19, 2026, Pro pays for Fable separately. Max includes it up to half the weekly limit. On llmwise Pro ($20), up to 31 Fable 5.1 messages a month are in the plan.
