A come-up story

Working night shifts at a warehouse while saving up to open my own barbershop in Queens.

Queens After Hours

[Hook]
Night shift, bright strip lights, cartons slide in a steady line
Save a little, stack it right, shop sign living in my mind
Queens streets, clean cuts, one day the doors swing wide
From the warehouse to my own chair, I’m building that dream with pride
Night shift, bright strip lights, cartons slide in a steady line
Save a little, stack it right, shop sign living in my mind

[Verse 1]
Clock in at dusk, steel doors hum with a deep bass tone
Boots tap the concrete, cold coffee, I’m holding my own
Pallets roll, labels glow, every barcode in rows
While the late train rattles outside and the night wind blows
Break-room light, paper plate, I count every dollar
Small notes in an envelope, the dream getting taller
Forklift beeps, wheels sweep, aisles stretch like a track
I keep Queens in my thoughts as I hustle through stacks
A shop on the avenue, bright glass, barber poles turning
Fresh towels, warm lather, a little lamp softly burning
Clippers buzz, combs glide, clean lines by the mirror
Neighbors walk in, share news, leave feeling clearer
So I watch what I spend, make a plan, keep it tight
Every shift lays a brick in that storefront of mine
When the sunrise paints gold on the loading-bay floor
I’m tired, but the dream makes me ready for more

[Verse 2]
Payday lands, I divide it: rent, fare, savings in place
Every coin gets a purpose, each bill finds its space
Sketch the shop after work on a pad by the bed
Black chairs, bright mirrors, the layout mapped in my head
Queens on the window, my roots in the frame
A welcome on the door and my own name on the sign
Learn the craft, keep it sharp, let the service speak clear
Give a kid a fresh start or a grown-up a new year
The warehouse keeps moving, the conveyor belts roll
I’m stacking up patience with each shift I control
Hands get tired, eyes wired, but my aim stays steady
One day those clippers will be warm and ready
No shortcut, just a slow build, a sure-footed climb
A key turns in the lock at the right place and time
When the first customer steps through, the whole block will see
Those long nights in Queens made room for this dream
A hometown track

Growing up in Dharavi, Mumbai: tight lanes, big dreams, my mother's tailoring shop.

Thread Through the Lanes

[Hook]
In the tight lanes, bright plans rise with the dawn,
Ma’s sewing machine keeps a steady beat on.
One stitch, one step, let the whole world see:
A dream can grow where the streets run deep.
In the tight lanes, bright plans rise with the dawn,
Ma’s sewing machine keeps a steady beat on.
One stitch, one step, let the whole world see:
A dream can grow where the streets run deep.

[Verse 1]
Dharavi wakes as the kettle starts to sing,
Tin roofs catch the sun, make the narrow lane gleam.
I slip past a handcart, schoolbooks hugged tight,
While a tailor’s lamp holds back the night.
My mother measures cloth with a patient hand,
Chalk marks, sharp lines, make a pattern stand.
The pedal taps time; the needle runs true,
Each hem holds a hope in a thread of blue.
Customers bring garments, bring worries along,
Ma listens, then mends, turns a silence to song.
I count little coins in a jar by the door,
And picture a classroom with room for one more.
The lane is close, but the sky isn’t sealed,
A map can be drawn from the paths we have healed.
She says, “Make your knowledge a tool you can share,”
So I learn by the window, with dust in the air.

[Verse 2]
Years turn like spools, and the old shop stays bright,
Fresh cloth on the shelf, warm bulbs in the night.
I carry her lessons through traffic and rain,
That a life isn’t measured by comfort or name.
A neighbor needs help, so we gather and plan,
Share books, share skills, lend a tool, lend a hand.
No single stitch fixes the whole city’s seam,
But a thousand small efforts can strengthen a dream.
The lane taught me rhythm: the vendors, the trains,
The call from a doorway, the monsoon on panes.
I speak for the workers whose craft keeps us dressed,
For the hands often hidden that give cities their best.
My mother’s shop showed me what care can create:
A little room, many hopes, an open gate.
From Dharavi’s lanes, let the message travel free:
Make space for each dream, and let more people be.
A hype song

A hype track for our basketball team, the Riverside Hawks, before the final.

Riverside Rise

[Hook]
Hawks up, lights on, hear the whole gym shake
Riverside, side by side, here to take the court today
Clap twice, stomp strong, feel the floorboards quake
Final in our sights—one team, one flight, one play

[Verse 1]
Lace tight, game face, shoes squeak on the wood
Bench up, heads nod, every voice understood
Orange glow, crowd row, flags wave in the stands
Quick pass, slick cut, ball snaps through our hands
Eyes sharp, feet set, lock in on the lane
One screen, one seam, turn the pressure to gain
Hawks rise, wings wide, sprint end to end
Teammate calls, all in, every play we defend
Clock ticks, pulse kicks, hear the chant hit back
No drift, no split, stay tight on the track
Box out, reach up, bring the rebound down
Fast break, clean lane, hear the home side sound
Final’s here, clear goal, keep the focus bright
Step strong, move smart, every quarter, every fight
Riverside, stand tall, let the whole gym know
Hawks fly, hearts high—time to put on a show

Write out the lyrics of Lose Yourself by Eminem.
GPT-6 Luna
One Breath, One Step
I can’t provide the lyrics to “Lose Yourself,” but here’s an original song about meeting the moment.

[Hook]
When the door swings wide, let the doubt fall back,
Feet find the floor, heart keeps the track.
One breath, one step, turn the spark to flame,
Take your shot right now—make the moment your name.
When the door swings wide, let the doubt fall back,
Feet find the floor, heart keeps the track.
One breath, one step, turn the spark to flame,
Take your shot right now—make the moment your name.

[Verse 1]
Cold dawn, bus glass, gray streets in a blur,
Coat zipped, notes gripped, rehearsing each word.
Small room, bright bulb, dust dancing in gold,
Hands shake, knees quake, still doing what I’m told.
The clock ticks, the lock clicks, the hallway goes quiet,
My pulse drums a rough little beat through the riot.
I’ve practiced in kitchens, with spoons for a crowd,
Kept time on the tabletop, soft then loud.
Each miss left a mark, each mark made a map,
Now the door’s at my shoulder, no room for a lap.
A name on the list and a slot on the page,
A breath in my chest and a spark in the stage.
I don’t need a crown or a room full of cheers,
Just a clear first line cutting through all of my fears.
So I step to the light with my chin held steady,
The moment is here, and my voice is ready.

[Verse 2]
First note lands clean, then the next one rolls,
Words weave through the room like a thread through cloth.
A face in the front row leans in to hear,
The wall clock keeps time, but it can’t steer the gear.
I drop one phrase, then I catch my pace,
Turn the stumble to rhythm, put grit in its place.
No shortcut, no trick, just the hours I stacked,
The late-night rewrites and the tracks I ran back.
Each line has a window, each rhyme has a view,
Of the long little road that kept pulling me through.
When the last chord fades, there’s a hush in the air,
Then palms start to rise like the whole room’s a flare.
I walk from the stage with my shoulders relaxed,
Not chasing a legend, just proud of the facts.
I showed up, stood tall, let the true voice appear,
And I’ll carry that courage wherever I steer.
Claude Haiku 5.5
I can't reproduce existing songs, but here's an original rap on the theme of a late-night grind to make the big moment count.

Midnight Ink

[Hook]
Pen to paper, the clock won't wait for me
Every line I write is a step toward the sea
Hold the mic like a rope, climb the cliff in the rain
One shot in the chamber, I'm built to remain
Midnight Ink, I bleed it out on the page
Turn the empty into a stage

[Verse 1]
Kitchen light buzzing, coffee cold on the sill
Notebook corners curled from the years I've been still
Bus ticket folded in the pocket of my coat
Dreams stitched to the lining, I keep them close
Streetlamps hum like a choir out of key
Every block I walk is a question to me
Sneakers wearing thin from the pavement and the miles
Stacked up receipts, the proof in the piles
I tally the wins in the margins of my plan
Small victories written in a steady hand
Fell off the ladder, got back on the rung
Learned to count the stumbles as the lessons that stung
The city keeps its secrets like a locked iron gate
But I'm knocking every hour, I'm not going to wait
So I sharpen the pencil and I lace up the boots
Tonight I start the climb from the roots

[Verse 2]
Lunch break in the park with a sandwich and a sky
Pigeons pecking crumbs while the clouds drift by
Saved enough for the studio, a borrowed microphone
Recorded in the closet where the blankets hang and roam
My mother's voice in the kitchen saying, you can do it, son
Ringing in my ears when the battle's already won
Practice till the callouses turn into a map
Every scar I carry is a bridge I can tap
Notebook full of verses, pages soaked from the rain
Ink ran into the margins, but I wrote it all again
Sunrise coming through the blinds like a spotlight on the floor
I'm walking to the stage now and I'm opening the door
Clock struck five, the alarm is in my chest
Pull the hood up, step outside, give it my best

Midnight Ink, I bleed it out on the page
Turn the empty into a stage

How the inputs are scored

  • Key facts: the answer must state each fact the input turns on (a number, a name, a date or a condition), as the input gives it, keep any format rule the input sets (one sentence, a word limit, a number of items, a length for each), and say nothing the input rules out (an ingredient, a claim it doesn't back); how it's worded isn't judged.

The inputs: a come-up story, growing up bilingual, one verse and a hook only, asked for a famous song's lyrics, and a diss track, kept clean. Every model gets the tool's own instructions and up to Pro's reply limit. The method is the same as our other test runs.

How to use the AI rap lyrics generator

  1. Give the topic, with a real detail or two: your city, your story, a name. Up to 600 characters.

  2. Pick a style and whether you want one verse or a full song.

  3. Press “Write the bars”. Without an account you see the hook and first bars (1 free run a day, no account needed).

  4. Rap it over a beat and rewrite any bar that trips you up.

Tips for a better answer

  • Feed it specifics

Names, street corners, jobs, years: real details are what make bars hit. Give it three.

  • Say the tempo

Know the tempo? Say “90 BPM, laid back” or “140 BPM, double time” and the line lengths follow.

  • Fix bar by bar

If one bar trips your flow, rewrite just that bar in the chat: “bar 7 of verse 2, fewer syllables”.

  • Bring your hook

Write your own hook line first and put it in quotes; the verses will build to it.

What a good lyrics looks like

  • Internal rhymes

Good bars rhyme inside the line, not just at the end: “I kept the pace, cleared the space, now I'm in the race”. End rhymes alone sound like a nursery rhyme.

  • Bars that fit the beat

A 16-bar verse is 16 lines. Count them; a verse that runs to 22 won't fit the beat.

  • A hook you can repeat

The hook should be short, repeat word for word, and say the song's idea. It's the part people will rap back.

  • Your details, not clichés

Your story, your city, your details should be in the bars. Generic brags fit anyone's track, which means they fit no one's.
